If you describe your style of picking your guitar tech can get it down to about the perfect height for your playing style. Then you will lower the saddle to taste by sanding the bottom down with a light grit wet/dry sandpaper on a perfectly flat surface like a slab of granite tile. It's adjusted just a hair and measurements are taken.) (You will need to take this in to a professional guitar tech if you don't know what you are doing you can permanently ruin the guitar if you adjust it too much. You adjust the action first by adjusting the nut and setting the relief to taste. They don't fit because it was a one size fits all affair for the manufacturer.
